ALT MED SERVICES: OUR OBJECTIVE
Alt Med Services is an alternative health center where the prevention of disease and the attainment of optimal health are our primary objectives. Our professional staff uses advanced photonic and vibrational technology, lymphatic therapy, herbs, nutrition, enzymes, gentle detoxifying, and homeopathy to safely bring the body back into balance. Determining your body's unique needs is first determined by using Electral Dermal Screening. Electral Dermal Screening (EDS) is a computer-based system used to examine the body's energy levels as they relate to organs, organ systems, and glands. The precise and reproducible results allow us to determine what your body may need to heal itself and/or what other modalities will give you optimum results.
To prevent illness we assess risk factors, heredity and susceptibility to disease, and make appropriate recommendations. Risk factors include your acitivity level, good and bad stress factors, eating patterns, environmental exposures, work conditions, past health issues, drug therapies and immunizations, and your unique way of "dealing" with life challenges. When dis-ease has already occured in your life we strive to provide answers to "why" the body is behaving like it is, why your dis-ease has developed in the first place. After determining the underlying causes for your symptoms we will recommend a program to provide your body with the factors it needs to heal itself.
Electral Dermal Screening: What to Expect Both the client and the technician are seated at a desk with a computer, EDS unit, metal bar, and flat-tipped probe. A very small amount of electricity (not enough to feel) is put into the body when the client holds the small metal/ copper rod. The amount is just enough to energize the acupuncture points for a reading. Using a small, flat-tipped probe the technician will apply a small amount of pressure to the corresponding acupuncture points located on the hands and feet. At no time are needles used in electro-dermal screening. The skin is never pierced or punctured. Aside from removing your shoes and socks, you remain dressed during the screening.
It really amounts to a physical from a Chinese point of view. Using Chinese acupuncture points known and recognized for thousands of years, energy levels are measured and recorded as they relate to various organs and organ systems. Using the information gathered, supplement, nutritional, homeopathic, and therapy recommendations are made.

Lymphatic Therapy and Drainage
The lymphatic system is a complicated network of vessels, ducts, and nodes that moves fluid between the cells and tissues. When functioning properly, it effectively cleanses the tissues and eliminates toxins from the body. These functions are critical to vibrant health!
A congested lymphatic system causes numerous symptoms to be expressed by the body. Congestion, when severe, results in visible edema and large areas of cellulite. With electral dermal screening and/or hand manipulation we can determine if your lymphatic system is showing signs of congestion before they become severe. We have chosen the Lymhstar Pro® for use in lymphatic therapy sessions. It is highly effective on all areas of the body, including congested breast tissue and breast cysts.
In addition to serving clients, Alt Med Services offers professional training classes in Electral Dermal Screening and in the Carter Technique of Lymphatic Drainage using the Lymphstar Pro®. Cory Carter, N.D. offers several Lymphatic Decongestion Therapy classes every year. Most classes are held at Alt Med Services with 2-3 classes held in other states as "student" interest allows.
